Spring? Maybe…

Probably not quite yet since the forecast is for back around or below freezing Thursday through Saturday nights with a little sleet (really?) mixed in tomorrow.  But it sure is nice to have had today – 75 degrees and a little sun. Things are waking up.  And there are reports on UGA’s GABO (GA Birders Online) listserv that the Sandhill Cranes are moving back north with some 400 sighted along the I-85 corridor.

Feeder Activity High

It’s been warmer today, but the bird feeders were about as busy as they get.  Lots of House Finches, Goldfinches, and Northern Cardinals.  Also present were Eastern Bluebirds, Brown-headed Nuthatches, White-breasted Nuthatches and Brown Thrashers.

Lots of Finches

The Finches were present in abundance.
